There are too many houses and congestion through the village at key times now, let alone two more large estates. The school is crammed and particularly a struggle in the areas where these sites would be.
The Pasture Avenue site is particularly my concern I will turn in to a very busy road where parked cars often double park already when all the families are home in an evening. Kids play out on the street, and this would then stop due to traffic flow, it would be just too busy. The entrance isn’t wide enough where the entrance would be and it would take away communal grounds that we all use and Love. Enough traffic is on the street as it is. Some houses having 5 cars already and the road just cannot cope with anymore. It will become a major passing road where the cars whiz on now, and they’d be as many houses again. The street would not cope with the extra traffic. It is a death trap coming out of pasture avenue on to providence lane at all times as the cars reach high speeds and park on at the road sides on the brow of this hill leaving this impossible to see round and you risk it getting out. Imagine twice as many cars. I strongly object

The proposed houses on Pasture Avenue will cause a large increase in traffic on a road which at the moment is very quiet and usually full of children enjoying themselves and playing in the street as they should be. I'm very concerned at the danger this would put them in. I'm presuming the houses will be aimed towards families. Where will all the children be schooled?
Also the field is home to many wild life including deers which are regularly seen here. Oakworth has seen many big building developments recently. Please rethink building more sacrificing our wildlife and greenbelt fields.

Impact on wildlife
Loss of trees
Access on Pasture Avenue - this will make the avenue much busier and more congested, noisier than it is already. Safety of children playing
Primary school is already at capacity.
Doctors surgery is closed and patients need to go elsewhere.

There are lots of wildlife in the field including Deer and hedgehogs. It is a wildlife haven with lots of trees along the perimeter.
Pasture Avenue is already congested with double parking on pavements so extra traffic will add to this. It will also cause safely issues to the young children and the elderly that live on the avenue. Not to mention the extra noise due to traffic/building etc
The local Primary school is already at capacity.
Doctors surgery is closed and patients are having to go further afield.

Planned houses are in the green belt.
Pasture Avenue is already congested with traffic and parked cars. Houses mostly have 2 or more cars!
Primary school is already full
Doctors surgery likely to close in the future.
Roads in the village are already congested, especially near the school and shops.

Inadequate access.
The road isn’t fit for heavy plant coming on, it is in the plans of existing pasture avenue I believe.
Increase in traffic will be a danger to the children who play out on there bikes. The road would be too busy. Also cars double park at times on an evening when everyone is at home, leaving it hard to weave through, again this making it very difficult for children to play out.
The communal field where the entrance would be is where the children build dens and play, I strongly oppose them taking any extra land needed for the widen the entrance! In the field at the moment we have numerous wildlife, bats, deer and many others, it’s lovely to watch them with their young.
The avenue as it stands is not fit for extra traffic flow nor do we want things destroyed for houses.

I’m objecting to this development as this is the only wild meadow left in this area which a number of animals are using as there habitat and have done for years .
It’s a sanctuary that these animals have survived and thrived and grown to feel safe in for years .
we have beautiful families of deer each year that have built up there Trust and feel safe enough to raise young there year in year out .
And I have video evidence of this .
There are owls ,Bats , Mice , Moles , Voles , squirrels newts

There is a lot of wildlife in the field, I have personally seen deers and owls. There is no Doctors in Oakworth and Haworth is already very difficult to get any appointments at. Oakworth primary school is already at capacity. The traffic in oakworth is already so busy, another 60cars are only going to worsen the safety of the village. Pasture Avenue is already a busy estate with cars parked on the pavement and kids playing out, add another 60cars and it’s going to make what is a sought after place to live, a place to avoid.

The impact this will have is pollution as more traffic with at least 30 more cars is causing more danger to kids playing out, double parking is an issue now there is an accident waiting to happen with extra cars. wildlife live in this wild meadow deers, owls, they roam freely where there are trees and other wildlife, where will they go? This avenue cannot cope with an additional number of houses let alone Oakworth having more people when the school is already full.

Unworkable, would add extra pressure to the main road, damage the local ecology and harm the environment. It would be dangerous to those on the estate and the roads are too narrow.

This is one of the very few remaining wildlife corridors and part of the much needed green belt. Oakworth has reached saturation point regarding traffic, the local health centre is overloaded, schools are full. There are enough house building projects on the go eg Ebor Lane and Occupation Lane to provide housing plus the new estate in Bogthorn where houses remain unoccupied.

Pasture Avenue site has trees and marshy grass that sustain many species of insects, birds and small animals ( and some larger). There is not good road access and this end of the village is prone to bad flooding in heavy rain. The fields below by the heritage path are often waterlogged in recent wet seasons. The heritage walk in the woodland below would be negatively impacted and the run off after housing built would be far more excessive than now with a quantity of trees and natural marsh grass absorbing it.

I object to the proposal near pasture avenue. The reason for this being:
1. Concern for safety, the increased traffic on the road puts children at greater risk. Also the entrance to the site being right next to the green space provides concerns that our children will be at greater risk whilst playing in their dedicated area.
2) The field is a haven for wildlife and building there will endanger their habitat.
3) schools and doctors are at bursting point already, I don’t believe they can accommodate the extra headcount.

The proposed area for development is home to local wildlife including a family of deer, wild owls and birds, destroying their habitat would have a huge impact on the environment alongside the added fumes and pollutants from the additional traffic. Pasture Avenue and Oakworth are already conjested. There are not enough facilities, the Doctor's surgery is currently closed. The proposed development also takes over a children's play area, limiting their access to open space over the coming years. This contradicts the government's priority of supporting children's development, social interactions and mental health well-being following the impact of the pandemic.

This plan should not be approved. Oakworth does not need any more houses. The field is a wild meadow, which is very rare around these parts. It brings wonderful wildlife to the area such as deer and owls, who return every year to have families and would no longer be able to do this. Let’s preserve the greenbelt site. The village is already congested. This development could bring up to another 60 vehicles to the area, adding more pressure to the local services and roads. The local school is also full to capacity.

Meadow field a natural habitat, hence risk to wildlife, deer, bats (protected species) Valuable Greenfield and green belt adjacent to conservation area. Safety issue regarding narrow road access to potential site which is directly next to children’s play area. Increased traffic to the already overloaded to High Oak Garth and rest of Pasture Avenue. Local amenities are overstretched with no places available at local doctors or schools. Lidget access to village already a bottleneck so more cars would be detrimental. Previous planning permission rejected because of local policy constraints, what has changed?? Plenty of more suitable sites in the area.

OA1/h. Access to this development through Pasture ave is ridiculous. The road is too tight for large vehicles and the idea should only be entered into with an access from Providence lane. The school is full and the doctors surgery currently closed. The land is green belt and surely there are enough brown belt sites which are run down and more suitable for building. There is an abundance of varied wildlife in these fields which would lose their habitat never to be replaced.i moved here because it’s a village and if you carry on it will be a small town.

Negative impact on the local wildlife. Extra load on the already failing infrastructure, water mains, electricity supply. We already have regular leaks to the mains, and regular power outages. This will just add to the load and cause more issues. Additional load to the roads and footpaths around Oakworth will impact on the already congested village centre.

Pasture avenue is a lovely little part of oakworth that doesnt need an eyesore of a housing development. Theres a large impact on pollution with more traffic and an added danger for the children who would have to play on the road itself as the grassed safe area they play on would be taken away to be replaced as a road, theres also an impact on wildlife too as deer are seen on a regular basis on this land.

There is too much traffic in Oakworth, with school buses, lorries and cars. there is not enough parking spaces at the local shops, schools and doctors so people park on the road side or pavements making it hard for people to cross the road as well as getting out of junctions leading to possible accidents. On Pasture avenue nearly each house hold has 2 or more cars/work vans which at least one of them is parked on the road side making the road narrower to get through. The kids play area is the safest place for the kids to play which will be compromised if the new build goes ahead. When we have winter weather its pretty much a stand still trying to get through Oakworth again due to parked cars on both sides and the heavy traffic trying to get through.

Strongly object to the destruction and displacement of the wonderful wildlife . The bat population has has just returned and we have put bat boxes up to help them , are they not a protected species . The meadow is home to a multitude of birds, bee's, butterfly's and insects . The bats feed over the meadow and it's simply wonderful . Headghogs are in decline as their habitats and homes are being destroyed at an alarming rate. We support the local headghog hospital and see this at first hand . We also have a population of lizards in the dry stone walls . We also have a family of deer in the meadow . Can we please ask that the land be a natural reserve and protect the wildlife for all our children and future generations to come . Thank you .

Oakworth is already an over developed village with new large housing estates built in the last couple of years or currently being built. Further developments would further the already heavy traffic and congestion through the village. Local services and amenities are already stretched and under pressure. Oakworth surgery is closing and haworth is already full. Local schools are also full. The proposed site is a greenbelt area which adjoins a conservation area. The field is a wildlife corridor for deer, bats, owls and is the only wild meadow I know of in the area. The character of the setting will be encroached upon. Communities are slowly encroaching upon one another. The proposed area for entry to the site is directly next to a children's play area. The road cannot accommodate much more through traffic as cars are often double parked. There are brown belt areas nearby that could be used.

Land boarders conservation area, is greenbelt with mature trees, and a well used wildlife corridor and wild meadow with bat's, owels and deer which have lived in the corner and raised young for over 10 years. Only wild meadow around. Oakworth doctors has just closed and school is over subscribed. Access would be through children's play area and significantly increase traffic on pasture avenue which is already busy and could restrict access to emergency services. Oakworth already busy in general and can be difficult to park for access to amenities. Would compromise landscape and encroach on historical/cultural railway children's walk and Keighley worth Valley heritage train line. Would increase urban sprawl towards Howarth. Already a number of ongoing housing developments in the area branshaw Park, occupation lane, ebor mills. Not many jobs in local village will increase carbon footprint and road congestion. Against green policies. Other brown sites available locally

Insufficient primary school places.
Pressure on local secondary school for places.
Too much traffic through Lidget and Oakworth which is already congested.
Too much pressure on amenities, lack of parking for primary school is already a problem on Station Road for local residences, also parking issue for extra visitors to the Co op.
Destruction of green belt land and areas important for wildlife. It has come to light that the owners of the field are currently scaring the deer from the field and as a result they are straying on to the roads which are a traffic hazard on Providence Lane.
Plenty of brownfield sites in Keighley which should be used instead, Dalton Mills for example.
Erosion of village community atmosphere.
Access issues to site using Pasture Avenue to building site.
Construction site issues with heavy vehicles disrupting residents quality of life and being a safety hazard to children.

I would like to object to this proposed site for residential development in the strongest possible terms. The idea of 'sustainable greenbelt development is', in any case oxymoronic. Greenbelt is a finite resource so there is no such thing as sustainable building on it. You can either sustain it or build on it. These are mutually exclusive options. With respect to this specific instance, however, the cases made for positive impact are weak and do not consider the specific circumstances of the site (or do so in very odd ways). There is limited road access, onto a busy thoroughfare (the Keighley Road) or into the already over-crowded streets of Oakworth. There is only one accessible shop. The proposed dwellings would add considerable strain to Oakworth's existing resources.

The village of Oakworth has increased in size dramatically in the last 50+ years. The area adjacent to Dockroyd used to be a beautiful open green space which was permitted by planning to be built over with the existing housing . Very little of its previous beauty now remains . To build further on what precious green belt remains would entirely close in the area and destroy what remains of its character. In addition the village has serious problems with traffic congestion through its centre where during peak times traffic often comes to a standstill because of parked cars accessing the school and shops narrowing the road to a single lane. Further Housing and cars would only add to the congestion and create more Demand on our already overstretched School and services. The village School has already built over most of its outdoor space because of demand.
