Regarding the former allotment gardens in Oxford Road/Park Cliffe Road. These are shown on the map as Open Space. In their current state, they are unworthy of the name. Presumably the land is in Council ownership. Why can it not be developed as a useful open space, e.g. a nature reserve. Does the Council have any plans to restore the land to a useable condition, or is the plan to turn a blind eye to the eyesore for another 15 years? Could this land not be incorporated into an extended Peel Park?

Many of the site designated 'open space' are in fact school playing fields, and as such, not accessible to the general public. Is it not misleading to show these as public open space? Or does the Council have plans to grant public access to any of them?

No exceptional circumstances have been demonstrated by Bradford City Council.
We have concerns about greenbelt and greenfield areas adjacent to the Leeds boundary in Fagley, Apperley Bridge (which has already seen its greenbelt pretty much destroyed!) and elsewhere.
Bradford City Council seems to have little or no regard for the greenbelt that separates the two cities. This is a short sighted and environmentally destructive view, and fails to recognise the importance of the green buffer between the two cities. less

It is not considered that locating development within the
settlements within Bradford North East, on their own, will have a severe impact on the capacity, operation and safety of the SRN, and this will be identified through the transport evidence base being prepared by the Council / the individual assessment of the transport implications of the sites by the sites’ promoters.
However, the quantum of sites forms part of a wider cumulative impact within the Bradford North East Area and the rest of the development aspirations within the Plan could severely impact the SRN, and this cumulative impact will need to be established by the Council and considered by Highways England.
