I strongly object to the building of new houses on the greenfield land. It will have a very negative impact on the environment and the local community. The access to the site is poor, parking is already exceptionally difficult for customers using the shops/businesses at the top of Kirkgate now. If parking is to be reduced further it would significantly impact upon the number of customers using local businesses in a time when they have already been hard hit by Covid restrictions. The proposed location is on the edge of a World heritage site and this will significantly have a negative impact on the historic village of Saltaire with more people living in the area creating more traffic, pollution and reducing the green spaces for people to use for recreation.
