SE46/H - Land west of Tong Lane and east of Holme Wood

Representation ID: 1354

Received: 12/03/2021

Respondent: Ramblers, Bradford Group

Representation Summary:

Definitive Footpath Tong 8 forms a link from the Bierley - Birkenshaw area via Path Tong 1 to the Black Carr - Scholebrook public footpath network in the "rejected" land category. A major development would have significant effect on the views from the path towards Kit Wood and Fulneck.
If however the proposed allocation is fully or partially accepted it should be conditional upon retention of the path, segregated from roads, with some improvement to its surface whilst maintaining as much open aspect rural view as possible. The path and an enhancement of Kit Wood beck would add to the Green Belt boundary to the north and sports recreation area to the west.

Consultation Question 83

Representation ID: 1375

Received: 12/03/2021

Respondent: Ramblers, Bradford Group

Representation Summary:

Paragraph 5.3.25 calls for a total of1477 housing units located at Ned Lane and Westgate Hill Street / Tong Street. These housing centres could be serviced by road improvements at the Ned Lane end and new access by site SE37/E at Tong Lane end. It is considered unnecessary to include in the " Masterplan" a South East Bradford Access Road (SEBAR) if it is being put forward as a link for through traffic between, in effect, the A647 and A650 passing OVER green belt land.
