Land at Queensbury Golf Course should be allocated for housing development. The site is in a sustainable location, near to local shops, schools, amenities, facilities and a bus stop, as well as directly abutting a proposal allocation QB4/H. There is no difference in the location and sustainability of the golf course site and the QB4/H.
The Town Centre High Street, Tesco Store and associated bus services to Bradford and Halifax are all less than a 10 minute walk away at approximately 600m to the north. There is also a bus stop located directly outside of the site for those that are less mobile and may require assistance to get to the town centre. There has been too much development in the Fleet Lane area already. There are many more golf courses in the local area providing similar recreation facilities.
