• Education provision:
o The council is keen to review further evidence as it emerges relating to the impacts of the proposed development on education provision in Kirklees.

o Kirklees Council is keen to understand any air quality implications of the proposals on the Kirklees road network. An Air Quality Management Area in the southern area of Birkenshaw (Whitehall Road East/Bradford Road) should be considered when assessing air quality implications.
o The council is keen for walking and cycling links to be improved in this area especially where this links to Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans and where proposals could facilitate links to the existing/indicative Core Walking and Cycling networks set out in the Kirklees Local Plan.

• Registered Battlefield – employment zone EC2D borders a Registered Battlefield (Adwalton) within Kirklees (which we believe extends into the Bradford Council area). The council is keen to see an assessment of the implications of the proposed employment zone on the Registered Battlefield and green belt in this location.

• Local Wildlife Site – there is a Local Wildlife Site (LWS33) adjacent to the Kirklees Council and Bradford Council boundary which is relatively close to proposals in the emerging Bradford Local Plan. Kirklees Council is keen to ensure that there are no adverse impacts on this site.
