I represent the Morley North Ward on Leeds City Council. I wish to object on behalf of the Morley Borough Independent Group on Leeds City Council against the proposal on Tong Street. This as a large housing allocation which will have a significant impact on the local communities we represent at Drighlington and Gildersome. This allocation will put more demand on local facilities - such as local roads - especially the A650 - local services such as primary schools and local health centres. Local roads - especially the A650 and A58 - already have significant levels of congestion leading to a negative impact on residents in Drighlington and Gildersome. We object formally to this allocation for these reasons.
