We refer to the local development plan for 4 sites in Ilkley. In particular we wish to state our objection to the proposal for 9 dwellings in Stockeld Road. During week-ends, Bank Holidays, school holidays in both Bridge Lane and Stockeld Road (there is no H in Stockeld) the area is crammed with vehicles and pedestrians. We were always given to understand that the area is a conservation area. 9 houses would be an eyesore particularly being so close to the old packhorse bridge built in 1645. It would be sensible if someone from the Planning Department to visit the site at the times quoted to see for themselves that this development has not been given enough thought.
