Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021
Representation ID: 11319
Received: 24/03/2021
Respondent: Mr Graham Dawson
AD6/H Objection
1. lack of evidence of the need for a further large housing development in Addingham which would increase the strain on a village which already has limited employment, shopping and recreational facilities. Main Street congestion would worsen.
2. School facilities are at present fully subscribed
3. the top of Moor Lane location has already had a problem with flood water which would increase if more houses were built nearby; plus increased road safety risk at the Moor Lane/Turner Lane junction.
4. Impact on pleasant views of the village from he Dalesway long distance walking route and also from the north.
5. The proposed site would clearly not pass the “ exceptional circumstances “ test for the release of greenbelt land - other brownfield sites are surely available.
6. the short consultation time with very few people, especially the many elderly residents without internet access, aware of the plans.
