Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 12188

Received: 19/03/2021

Respondent: Andrew Peden

Representation Summary:

Oppose the proposed 24 new houses.
Land is Green Belt
Current access from Moor Lane is terrible.
Drivers break speed limit, it is only a matter of time before there is a significant accident.
A stream runs down the side of the proposed development.
Additional cars will add noise and pollution to the green belt/countryside
Open views to Beamsley Beacon would be ruined
Impact on visual amenity of historic buildings
Local schools oversubscribed
Due to location it is unlikely that anyone will walk to/from school, additional car traffic will be dangerous and cause pollution.
Addingham doesn’t have the infrastructure to accommodate an extra 81 houses , the road through the village is often blocked due to parking and large vehicles
Loosing so much green belt will alter the the village and it will not recover I do not agree with some of the other applications however the above application is the worst one so I am objecting in the very strongest terms.
