No development should be permitted until the Shipley Eastern Bypass has been completed or other major infrastructure work completed to the junction of Saltaire Road(A657), Bingley Road (A650) and Moorhead Lane. The junction is operating at over capacity and cannot take any more traffic. In addition, there are existing consented but unimplemented schemes which will increase traffic further.
This site is greenbelt and other sites should be brought forwards and developed before consideration is given to ruining these habitats.
If development is permitted then access should be off Cottingley Cliffe Road and not directed through this residential area which suffers enough cut through traffic.. It may be more difficult but that is just the cost of providing a junction and simply means less land sale receipts to the owner.
