Representation ID: 13662

Received: 21/03/2021

Respondent: Caroline Murray

Representation Summary:

Field is Green Belt – should only be used if absolutely necessary. Loss is questionable. Provides opportunity to enjoy flora and fauna within a biodiverse habitat. Green space important for health and wellbeing. Should be protected.

Buffer to valley area. Will impact on wildlife. Loss of habitat, agricultural land and views. Potential for contamination during construction, as well as increased light and noise pollution. Will be more vehicle and heating emissions. Would be detrimental to residents. Stability and drainage heightens risk of flooding.

Langley Lane only road to/from area. Issue with traffic congestion particularly at school run times. More cars will increase this as well as impacting on safety and increasing pollution. Access is impractical due slope of existing cul de sac.

Primary school is over-subscribed. Railway station has limited parking and services. No doctors, shop or chemists nearby.

Major impact on Green Belt. Would create precedent for more Green Belt development.

Consultation taking place during pandemic - not accessible to all.
