This objection is based on the following:
• Principally the unjustified and unwarranted loss of Green Belt, thereby removing the protection to the environment and locality that Green Belt status provides. In this location it also provides the foreground to a unique, attractive and valued gateway view of Ilkley Moor and Cow and Calf Rocks.
• Increased pressure on local roads, parking and pedestrian facilities. Specifically on existing constraints at the railway underbridge, and Denton Road river bridge.
• Implementation of a much denser housing development which is inconsistent with the existing residential area
• Loss of habitat for large numbers of visiting and resident birds and wildlife
