Representation Summary:

I object to Green Belt (GB) development and this contradicts National Planning Policy Framework. In particular section 13/134
This site is in the buffer zone of Saltaire WHS and will spoil the enjoyment of the local area. GB is to preserve to preserve the setting and special character of historic towns (ie. WHS)
It also forms the buffer zone between Shipley and Bingley. Green Belt is to safeguard the countryside from encroachment and prevent neighbouring towns merging into one another.
This would increase traffic, air pollution/noise pollution and prevent council reaching it's clean air committments. The Bingley road is already very congested with poor air quality.
Flood risk would increase as green land soaks up water and prevents run off. Water quality of the river Aire and watercourse pollution would increase. It would increase the flood risk for the existing dwellings which already suffer from flooding
