This area is a haven for local residents to exercise and enjoy some peace and fresh air, whether it be dog walkers, scout groups, families, retired couples, people who live alone, or anyone else who wishes to enjoy the natural green space. I personally use the area freqently, for blackberry picking, jogging, sledging in winter, etc.. The PROW and mature forest/hedges have a real feeling of history and rurality. We also regularly see deer, fox, plus many bird species. These kind of spaces are part of what makes Shipley great. I would be devastated to see this beautiful area developed.
