Respondent: Mr Andrew Blackwood

Representation Summary:

Traffic regularly speeds up and down the hill. Access to the site will increase traffic significantly. 164 dwellings will roughly equate to 200 extra cars. Traffic control regimes are ineffective . Access via Glenview Road is narrow. The roads leading to that part of Nab Wood are not designed for an extra 200+ cars. It will increase traffic in the surrounding area. Traffic to Bradford via Shipley is already conjested. Increased traffic will only make the situation worse. Increased traffic will increase pollution, and noise and nuisance driving. Saltaire Road is a bottle neck and there are not options to widen or improve, this also applies to the A650 through Shipley. The green field site attracts deer, geese, foxs, owls, woodpeckers. These will be lost. The site also have many trees, that contribute to reducing global warming.
