Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 1501

Received: 14/03/2021

Respondent: Mr alan thornber

Representation Summary:

Unrealistic in terms of access and potential volume of traffic using Moorlands Avenue and Thornbank Avenue as a 'ratrun'/shortcut. These roads are very narrow and have a high percentage of both older people and young families that would be put in danger.
Access onto the main Oakworth Road is also dangerous due to the slight bend in the road and parked cars along it, it is impossible to get a clear view when exiting.
Also this area has a public footpath and is well frequented by locals who want fresh air and quiet walks away from traffic and built up areas nearby.
With other housing proposals nearby settlement coalesence is also a real concern.
Natural springs are also present
Drainage/landslip effecting properties below.
