1 Steeply sloping with many springs in wet periods leading to drainage problems
2 Highly visible from the north side of the valley
3 Current good wildlife value with feeding curlew, oystercactcher and woodcock
4 Close to Ilkley Moor
5 Poor access which would change the character or roads leading to the site
