Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation Summary:

I object to this proposal as it would be very detrimental to the area and the environment. Building this many homes would undoubtedly increase traffic, congestion, and vehicle pollution in the local area. Especially as residents would likely cut through the surrounding Nab Wood/Moorhead area. Additionally, this would ruin a lovely green field site. One of the great things about the area is the access to green space for locals to appreciate and wildlife/nature to prosper on. Converting this into housing would destroy this, leading to loss of biodiversity and sanctuary for wildlife, increased pollution (air, noise, light, littering etc.), and additional strain on local resources. Therefore, to best protect our local environment and its communities, it would be much better to convert a brown field site or focus on empty houses than destroy this lovely green space.
