Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation Summary:

This is Green Belt in a beautiful valley sculpted by glaciers with unusual flora. The old oak trees along the Ladderbanks bridleway have TPOs.
Impact on the flora and fauna from housing developments.
Impact on Bradford Wildlife Area, an Area of Special Interest for ecological and geographical reasons.
The area is a haven for walkers, riders, runners and nature lovers and those seeking a wellbeing break for their mental and physical health.
Langley Lane contains very little in the way of shops and playgrounds. Extra housing and associated vehicles will choke the estate further especially at school run times.
The primary school has class sizes over the optimum and the local schools in Guiseley and Saltaire aren't really local. It will all add to congestion within the estate and beyond.
Removing a green area will increase runoff and risks of flooding in the valley.
This seems an incongruous addition to a planning list, it needs a rethink.
