We wish to make known our strong objection to the proposed development on Greenbelt land near our home, just off Meadowside Road in Baildon.

Aside from the acutely obvious point that Greenbelt land is specifically not for development, the building of additional housing would certainly mean yet more congestion in the area, traffic, parking where there is none available, but also pressure on the local school system which is already oversubscribed. There is the additional massive and needless impact on the environment and its many wildlife species, as well as needless pollution, litter and waste and months, if not years of all of the above.

There are PLENTY of brownfield sites that can be developed instead - the residents here will not accept yet more unnecessary Greenfield development in our area.

I’m sure you know all of the above and much more, and we can rely on you to protect and defend our countryside.
