Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 1640

Received: 15/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Susan Oliver

Representation Summary:

This is green belt land, prone to flooding. Building houses on this field will push the water downhill towards my house, my garden is already sodden with water coursing down the hill. Access onto this area is proposed via an already badly maintained road, that is never gritted by Bradford Council in cold weather because they say access is difficult. The aforementioned surface water turns to ice, meaning that we are often housebound when there is inclement weather. Schools, GP's and dentists are currently at capacity. I walk through the field they are proposing building on regularly and it is part of the outstanding area of natural beauty, here on Ilkley Moor. This is on the same hill as the Cow & Calf Rocks - Green Belt is meant to be protected. This is money for developers but priceless countryside to those who live and visit this area.
