This site is the original site for a relocated Ilkley Grammar School and remains the only Council owned location in Ilkley that can accommodate a suitable size School to serve the needs of Ilkley and the surrounding towns.
There is no mention of how the schools will be improved or increased in capacity to accommodate potential a large influx of school age children.
Furthermore the proposed access to the site will create potential traffic problems as it will be opposite Valley Drive and therefore necessitate 4 way traffic lights with the introduction of a potential 310 cars. This will compound the problems at the railway underpass which had only just had traffic lights installed to make it safer.
This is a poor location for new housing
