1) The land is currently part of a very loved and used greenbelt area that in such an urban area needs protecting for the mental and physical health of the local residents.
2) The land is a haven for protected animals and plants such as hedgehogs, deer, rare orchids. This is also very close to ancient woodland, which would be put at additional risk.
3) The road infrastructure is residential and unsuitable for the additional traffic - each additional house will add a minimum of 2 cars to the morning commuter traffic. Combined with current heavy traffic of parents dropping off their children at Baildon c of e during rush hour, I foresee huge challenges.
4) It is close to an area that can be prone to flooding - building on this site would increase this risk.
