Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 17112

Received: 22/03/2021

Respondent: Victoria Leather

Representation Summary:

•Vital to maintain valuable greenspaces which have been well used during the pandemic.
•Proposed losses of greenbelt must not be permitted, a more strategic view, working with our neighbours is needed. Brownfield sites in Bradford should be investigated and included in the plan ahead of greenbelt sites.
•Further development in this area would have a devastating impact on wildlife habitats.
•Infrastructure issues and under investment in Baildon.
•Schools are oversubscribed and require investment.
•Road traffic situation is poor and public transport is struggling to keep up.
•Langley Lane should be avoided at school times. Access for those living in this area is poor. As an estate with only one entrance/exit, additional housing would exacerbate problems.
