Representation ID: 1761

Received: 16/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Maria Moriarty

Representation Summary:

Negative effect on air quality due to increase in pollution from increase in traffic. Deposits from diesel and petrol already a problem within my house. There are other alternatives in the area rather than destroying the landscape and ruining many animal’s habitats, including bats which are protected.
These plans are not in line with Bradford Council clean air policy.Branksome Drive leading into Grove is narrow and bending and is already quite difficult to negotiate, with cars parked on both sides of the road. Traffic from this new estate using it as an entrance /exit will make it even more dangerous. The negative effect on residents quality of life in losing the green space, natural views and wildlife in the area. Loss of peace and quiet, privacy.
Flooding is a big concern. Ground stability and drainage. Trees and fields soak up water and help with the flooding issue which is common.
