Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 178

Received: 15/02/2021

Respondent: Mrs June Robinson

Representation Summary:

1. This area is green belt because it is agricultural land used for grazing cattle. Foxes and deer are daily visitors. There are footpaths across and it serves as a green space which separates the urban areas of Shipley and Cottingley.
2. Traffic is a major problem down Cottingley Cliff road and along the A650. The very narrow Aire valley has problems of pollution.
3. The land is riddled with springs therefore holding water preventing flooding lower down.
4. Any houses built on the top part would be a blot on the landscape.
5 Consultation difficult in national lockdown.
