Received: 22/03/2021

Respondent: Natasha Harrison

Representation Summary:

Area is currently being built on. More houses will spoil its look. Development creating a lot of traffic of large vehicles – currently very noisy and dirty. More building will result in more noise. Small stream has already been interfered with, whilst the road may need redevelopment. May damage area where wildlife is trying make a comeback.

Issue on Moor View/top of Moor Lane regarding flooding – will be increased if 14 more houses are built. Will have knock-on effect for lower down Moor Lane where drains cannot cope. Suggest looking at streams/pipes that are being fixed on Skipton Road where pipes have burst on several occasions – has been worked on several times in recent years. A problem from adverse weather conditions not being helped by current load of houses on Moor Park Drive/Moor Lane. Building 14 more houses would increase drainage requirements and create more flooding.

Not going to house affordable houses.
