Oakworth

Both sites in Oakworth are Green Belt and development would be completely unsuitable. There is no demand for extra housing demonstrated for Oakworth in the Local Plan and no exceptional circumstances demonstrated for releasing green belt land.

The village suffers congestion particularly at peak times and the area close to the Co-op and Primary School cannot cope with the existing traffic let alone extra. The Primary school is full and there is no room for expansion on its site.
