Identification of SH4/H - Glenview Drive, Bankfield Road as a preferred housing allocation is strongly welcomed.
Nevertheless, comments and in some cases concerns are raised below with respect to the following matters identified by the DLP:
• Site Boundary - suggest it should be amended at SW edge to align with the field boundary.
• Potential Site Access - although a singular vehicle access point would be acceptable a further access is possible from the existing filed gate on Cottingley Cliffe Rd.
• Sustainability Appraisal - see separate representation
• Habitats Regulations Assessment
• Green Belt - see separate representation
• Constraints and Opportunities
- disagree with description of the site as being prominent from Cottingley Rd. The site is only visible from that Rd in the immediate vicinity. In medium distance views it is screened by topography, vegetation and existing development and in longer distance views it is seen within the context of the existing urban area.
- Development of the site would provide opportunities to enhance and provide new
pedestrian and cycle routes and connectivity for both recreation and travel.
