Representation ID: 1847

Received: 16/03/2021

Respondent: Ms Denise Hutchinson

Representation Summary:

Brownfield sites & empty housing stock should be used rather than destroying natural habitat. There are numerous mills and old buildings that could be developed. Similarly, there a many empty houses unoccupied by their owners. Building on this site will increase traffic through Nab Wood & Moorhead, put increased demand on local schools and GP practices. It will also increase pollution - 164 houses will mean an increase of at least 164 cars. Thereby increasing pollution levels, not only in terms of toxins but also noise pollution. The streets of Nab Wood/Moorhead are already used as rat runs where speed limits aren't abided by. More traffic also presents as a risk to pedestrians in the area.
