Respondent: Mr Dale Cawley

Representation Summary:

Providing family housing in a highly sought after area in close proximity of public transport and easy links to Bradford and Leeds would allow young professional families like ours to continue living in the Bradford District whilst travelling to work in city centres. The development would provide a great place to bring up a family with green space and plenty of schools nearby. Other areas of the city don't have as much green space to enjoy, so in places such as the inner city, this should be protected. Developments should, instead, be put in places such as this where this is already plenty of parks, woodland and fields nearby, as these plans stated there are 80 useable green sites in the shipley district (just shy of 10 hectares) which is ample amount. Within distance of this particular site there is the leeds liverpool canal, hirstwoods, nabwood cemetery, northcliffe woods etc
