Representation Summary:

Site IL/012B Skipton Road should be allocated for housing.

The green belt -approx 1.2 miles distance to Addingham will not be significantly affected. The green belt assessment under purpose 4 is wrong - the site lies 1.2 miles from the centre of Ilkley and there are no vioews of the historic core from the site.

The site has a strong woodland defensible boundary which will be further strengthened this year with additional planting.

We own Briery Wood which forms part of the western boundary. A total; of 17 acres will be dedicated to a woodland trust and legally protected via planning conditions.

The site is low quality pasture / low ecological value.

The landscape impact will be v limited.

The site will have the benefit of footpaths running south from the A65 to the top of Grove Rd.
