Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 18748

Received: 18/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Andy Rozee

Representation Summary:

- Harm to Green Belt: Urban Sprawl. No evidence to justify there are exceptional circumstances to remove these fields.
-The proposal is unsound as there are many alternative non green belt sites suitable for meeting the development needs of Baildon
- Impact on highway safety- additional traffic onto a land with poor visibility and limited pavement width
- Impact on congestion on West Land, Lucy Hall Drive and surrounding areas
- Development of fields will not meet the overarching environmental objective of protecting/enhancing the environment including valued landscapes.
- The West Yorkshire Combined Authority Review is likely to result in further non-Green Belt land becoming available in the near future for development. There is no need to remove the fields from the Green Belt to meet house building targets
