The Birkshead area of Wilsden has already seen its fair share of building work. We have had the new Birkshead estate and the Crack Lane estate built over the last 10 years. The roads are already struggling with the amount of traffic and another 40 houses will only make this worse. We have had numerous issues with flooding in this area. The local shops and school are at full capacity as it is without any further building. This proposal will seriously affect the openness of the area for existing residents. The new houses built recently have not been in keeping with the rest of the village and I expect any new development would be the same. Wilsden is already losing its village feel with the amount of building work over the last few years. Please leave the green belt free of development and look to develop brownfield and other sites.
