The site falls within the IRZs of South Pennine Moors SAC/Phase 2 SPA/SSSI and West Nidderdale, Barden & Blubberhouses Moors SSSI. Depending on the scale and type of employment development here, consultation with Natural England may be required as part of any planning application in order to ensure no adverse effects on the SAC/SPA/SSSIs. There is potential for significant green and blue infrastructure improvements and opportunities for biodiversity net gains.
