Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 20173

Received: 23/03/2021

Respondent: Kevin Cockerham

Representation Summary:

The additional volume of traffic that this development would produce would create even further disruption, air pollution and increased danger to daily life on the surrounding streets and roads, particularly around school opening and closing times. Infrastructure cannot support such an increase in traffic in such a busy area.

The area is used by a considerable number of walkers, runners, horseriders and cyclists etc. and would be a further loss to the green open spaces and the leisure activities that have been enjoyed in this area for many many years.

The fields are greenbelt and can only be used for development if deemed absolutely necessary. I do not accept that we have reached such dire straits where alternative locations cannot be found.

As an absolute minimum, If the development was considered vital then perhaps a lesser number of properties could be built with a reasonable margin at either side of Ladderbanks Lane those preserving such a historical natural thoroughfare.
