This, quite apart from being Green Belt - one of few remaining green fields within the curtilage of the village - still has its traditional stone walls, plus mature trees along the boundaries. Any development would inevitably inflict irreversible damage on both of these. In addition, the ‘improvement’ of access along Parsons Lane would destroy the character of one of the last remaining original stretches of this historic roadway. The field should be left alone so that its character is preserved.
