Alternative areas or sites which should be considered for development instead of sites such as IL1 and IL3:

Over the next few years the demand for shops will dwindle, in order to keep the town alive the focus has to be on the Grove and Brook Street.

Support should be given to turning peripheral shops back into houses. West street is an obvious example, perhaps Wells Road, Hawksworth Street. Let those retailers move to other locations including the Moors Shopping Centre, which you own.

Another development opportunity has to be the building off Leeds Road in Dansk Way, is anyone in this building as it gives the impress of being derelict. This could surely be turned into a reasonable number of houses, whilst being more aesthetically pleasing.

A simple search for office or retail space will show that there is so much empty space.
