I am concerned about the increase pressure on service by additional housing. Oakworth primary does not have room for extension or additional children .Oakworth health centre is small (currently closed due to Covid) and rumoured will not reopen. Patients currently having to travel to Haworth therefore increasing traffic on roads in the village. An increase in traffic on already busy road through Oakworth and therefore increase in pollution. Access in and out of the Worth valley is always busy during rush hour and will increase with more housing. The public transport system does not allow easy access to the main cities and therefore car ownership is considered necessary by most within the village. Increase in surface water and flood risk due to increasingly more frequent extreme weather conditions. The area around Lidget already struggling to cope during heavy rain.
