First and foremost I object at a piece of green land being used for houses further shrinking the untouched land in Oakworth. The road infrastructure already struggles with the volume of traffic, and I am growing increasingly concerned about road safety and the number of speeding cars through the village - this is confirmed with the number of bumps and accidents. With our roads in an already poor state of repair, together with our water and gas works being outdated - adding more houses to this will increase demand causing more issues.
The schools and amenities are already in high demand and I feel these are at a breaking point that they just won’t be able to cope with more houses and the number of residents increasing in the village.
