Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2079

Received: 18/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Pauline Head

Representation Summary:

Access - there is currently insufficient access to Moorlands Avenue, we experience regular gridlock at the Oakworth Road junction and emergency vehicles and access to our properties is limited and impossible during snow/ice. 61 more houses having to park on lower roads in poor weather is dangerous.

Lack of infrastructure - local primary schools are oversubscribed as are the GP surgeries. It is a drive to the two nearest shops and we have already had a build at Occupation Lane of over 120 family homes with no increase on school places or GPs.

Flooding - It is well documented that the nearby Branshaw Park development caused flooding issues. Neighbours already flood regularly and for many months of the year Oakworth Road is treacherous for school children, residents and drivers.

Greenfield - our local green space and footpaths will be affected as well as increased pollution and traffic to our area.
