The infrastructure of Oakworth is already struggling to meet the demands of its population. Increasing the housing stock will only add to the current challenges. We have one shop; a Doctors surgery that is closed, a pharmacy that is open 5 days a week and a Village Hall . With no parking facilities to aid residents attending either the Village Hall or shop I don't see housing as being a priority for Oakworth. We have poor drainage systems and poor public transport Apart from the central area we are a rural community.
