Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2154

Received: 18/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Nicola Underwood

Representation Summary:

Green belt site & as such should remain. No justification for this area to be removed.
It will have a hugely damaging effect on both wildlife & countryside.
Adjacent to a narrow lane which is already busy as well as a popular local walk plus used by horse riders & cyclists.
Development would be more than 15 minute walk from nearest town or railway station- Council’s own target.
Risk of flooding - to Aire Valley. Site on top of hill - beyond Village therefore impacting open countryside.
Families travelling to school as local school oversubscribed- further impacting on roads/carbon/environmental & social damage.
The development brings no value to the local community other than Council Tax to BMDC.
