Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2174

Received: 18/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Phillip Cawkwell

Representation Summary:

There are currently major issues with traffic at the Queensbury crossroads at peak times with traffic backing up to Foxhill Primary School on a regular basis. Development of the land to the North of the junction will only increase the issues with construction traffic and commuter traffic on their way to the motorway infrastructure and Queensbury High School. Development of land to the south of the junction eg QB4/H would minimize the disruption to the village because traffic would not need to enter the village in order to access the high school and the infrastructure to the motorways, making "rat runs" like Roper Lane and DeanstonesLane unnecessary.
Extending the area of QB4/H to include the golf course would be more acceptable and has easy access to local shops and schools.
