This area is entirely unsuitable for housing. The document here admits that it is flood zone 1, and that also parts reach into zones 2 and 3. The fields here are SO often under water, I cannot believe that any sensible council is considering this land for housebuilding. In addition, the A65 is a very busy road, particularly at rush hour and being single lanes cannot cope with additional traffic.
Where would the children from these houses go to school? Nurseries, primary schools and Ilkley Grammar are all full and oversubscribed. Along with the other developments along Wharfedale, where are the children supposed to go to school? This is madness beyond belief.
