I would challenge the statement that this will have both major and minor positive effects on both the education and health objectives. The schools and health facilities may be close by but the impact of building yet another housing scheme in this locality is going to add further to the demands already made on them. The impact on local residents living within the immediate vicinicty with traffic and noise pollution has been an issue for a number of years as the schools have expanded and housing along with it. Knowing the site very well I also question the statement about easy access to Leeds Road and via Ashfield Road; the planners have clearly not been near the place at any normal time. It will just make the rat run which is Kingston Road even worse and this will have a negative impact on the health of local residents.
