Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2336

Received: 19/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Patricia Tillett

Representation Summary:

This is one of the last green belt areas of Baildon. Development would turn area into one big housing estate. Not healthy. Infrastructure not there. Roads are gridlocked at peak hours, queueing traffic on West Lane, through Baildon centre, into Shipley and along Canal Road to reach work places. It takes over an hour to reach centre of Bradford. Development would increase car use by over 150 cars. Unacceptable. Roads in terrible state, which worsen with more use. Schools are fully subscribed. Only 1 upper school in Baildon. Baildon Medical Centre is also fully subscribed. Pandemic has illustrated how green spaces are needed for well being. Object strongly to losing Baildon's green areas to housing developments.
