I wish to object to this planned development as I believe that it will negatively impact the local environment and residents. With additional housing/roads being added to this site and removal of trees/grasslands, I believe that it will increase run off into the river at the bottom of the hill. This area already has a history of significant flooding and this will only go towards increasing this risk and devastating residents lives, many of whom are elderly.

The removal of grassland, meadows and hedgerows will inevitably contribute to the already dwindling numbers of insects and wildlife which will ultimately affect our future generations of people. There are many brown belt and former commercial sites around the Shipley area that would be much more suited to this type of development without the loss of valuable natural habitat.
