Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2468

Received: 20/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Patrick Tucker

Representation Summary:

This part of Wilsden has already been subject to large scale development (80+ homes) since 2013.

Specific Objections:
Shay Lane/Crack Lane would need to be significantly altered as currently narrow lanes. This would alter considerably the character of this part of the village. (It's a well used route for horse riders from adjacent equestrian centres/potential clash with extra traffic).

As noted, the north eastern corner of site (jnc Shay/Crack Lane) is subject to severe water run off from local fields during heavy rain, leading to flooding at this corner.

Rather than use green space, would be preferable to look first at brownfield site nearby (Prospect Mill off Main Street) which could well deliver the right number of homes.
